The customer
Versuni is a global leader in the household appliances sector – coffee machines, hot air fryers and air purifiers are among its most important products. The group was formed in 2021 from a spin-off of the Dutch Philips Group and most recently generated sales of € 2.9 billion with 6,100 employees.
The project
In mid-2023, the Group management decided to close the Austrian site in Klagenfurt and expand competence centers in other countries instead. A social plan was agreed upon for the 130 employees and the lease agreement with Philips Austria was terminated with June 30, 2024. When the previous sole managing director decided to leave the company shortly afterwards, the realization of the site closure by an interim manager was the logical consequence. Over a period of eight months, all ongoing projects were completed, the workforce was layed off receiving the benefits of a social plan and all assets were sold.
