RegionalMedien Austria AG, operating under the brand MeinBezirk, is one of Austria’s leading media companies. With approximately 650 employees across all districts of Austria, the company publishes free local newspapers and operates regional online platforms. The portfolio of RegionalMedien Austria AG comprises more than 100 local weekly newspapers.
Project 1 – Vacancy Bridging Assignment:
In autumn 2024, RegionalMedien Austria AG faced the unexpected vacancy of a senior commercial staff position. To ensure the continuation of day-to-day financial management and the ongoing execution of already initiated projects, the appointment of an Interim Manager in the role of Head of Finance became necessary.
Highlights:
- VALTUS Management Factory ensured the professional continuation of financial management activities and the successful execution of ongoing projects.
- Support was provided in the preparation and recruitment process for a permanent successor, including a structured and seamless handover to the incoming successor.
Project 2 – Corporate Structure:
At the beginning of 2026, VALTUS Management Factory evaluated the corporate legal structure of RegionalMedien Austria and, together with an internal project team, developed four alternative scenarios. In addition to the quantitative advantages and disadvantages (one-off costs and changes to recurring annual expenses), qualitative factors and strategic considerations were taken into account.
