GreenOneTec GmbH develops and manufactures solar collectors for numerous OEMs, produces high-performance collectors for large-scale projects, and markets system solutions (collector + storage) under the brands SUNPAD, Thermosiphon CLASSIC, and Solcrafte.
GreenOneTec is a pioneer and market leader in industrial collector manufacturing and thus plays a leading role in the energy transition.
Based in St. Veit an der Glan, Carinthia, GreenOneTec achieved a revenue of approximately €20 million in 2020 with around 100 employees.
The strong demand for solar collectors in the 2000s, peaking at €114 million in 2008, steadily declined in the following years, necessitating extensive organizational adjustments.
Since 2023, GreenOneTec has also been producing and marketing solar carports under the GREENPORT brand.
The Projects:
2019:Management Factory was commissioned with the “Process Analysis” project, during which the entire organization was reviewed for improvement potential in the third quarter of 2019, and operational and organizational optimizations were developed and implemented subsequently.
In the analysis phase, the current as-is processes were recorded in detail and critically discussed with employees and managers, the product portfolio was analyzed, inventory coverage and employee activities were assessed, and the development of working capital was analyzed in detail.
In the conceptual phase, new to-be processes and a corresponding new organizational structure were developed, and work packages on the topics of sales structure and sales controlling, product portfolio streamlining, working capital reduction, technology & quality, operations, and administration were defined.
The implementation took place at the end of 2019 and the beginning of 2020, resulting in a reduction in complexity and costs as well as in improvements in management and increased transparency.
2020: Management Factory supported GreenOneTec in the acquisition of the Danish competitor Arcon Sunmark.
2021: Management Factory was again engaged to optimize material flow in production through the “Material Flow Analysis” project and to prepare decisions regarding layout changes and investments in the machinery park.
